Summary: I need a component or DLL created that can be used in a DELPHI 7 appliction (both 32 and 64 bit) that will do the following: 1- Record all drop down menu selections from a specified application (should include the menu being used, the command selected and support nexted menus). 2- Record the new values of controls (sliders, dropdowns, check boxes etc) from a specified application 3- Hook into the keyboard and record all keystrokes to a specified application 4- Output these recorded events, changes and or application settings in a list so that they can be output to a text field or text list and saved for later review. Application background: I am creating an application much like a macro recorder but more specifically something that will allow me to record another applications interactions and settings as the user manipulates the application. A good example of what I would like to record is a digital video application. Meaning, as a user manipulates a Digital Video system and selects commands, drop downs, check boxes etc, this DLL or VCL woudl record the name of the control that was manipulated, its setting before the change or its end state setting after the change. This output would then be saved as a TXT file or output from the component/DLL to a Text file or field in my Delphi app that would allow for review and or manipulation of that file. the goal of this component is to allow a user to review what they have done over the course of their work and to review their changes and or settings so that they can repeat or duplicate their work a second time exactly. This component should allow for any application to be recorded by a property (naming the window). |
