In your proposal, please provide for me: 1) Dollar estimate for entire project. I'm happy to answer questions if you need more information to provide me a flat rate estimate. 2) Hourly rate for out-of-scope, additions, revisions, etc. 3) Two or three references: English-speaking contacts in North America. 4) Tell me how you will staff the project - how many developers, their previous experience, etc. I don't have a preference necessarily, I'm just curious about you and the way you do business. 5) Estimated time frame for project completion. 6) One example of your previous work for *each* iPhone and Blackberry software development. If you have an application that you've developed for *both* iPhone and Blackberry, that would be very helpful. 7) Tell me which programming languages, platforms, etc. you would use for both applications. This may be an obvious "no-brainer" but please humor me and give me a sense of your expertise and ability to explain things to me. BASIC PROJECT SPECS I need a simple application for both Blackberry and iPhone that does the following: 1. Simple registration interface 2. Login / password connecting to MySQL database 3. Updates user’s location in database once per hour a. Must be able to update using both GPS and triangulation-based (a la Google Maps) 4. Receives Pushed messages from external application and alerts user a. User can select sound, vibration, and other pre-selected notification options based on selected profile 5. User can reply to Pushed messages with a POST or GET (or some functional equivalent) to external application My team will provide simple GUI and provide all needed graphical and design support, as well as the external application referenced above.
