Receive Bids

Bid Notifications
LimeExchange sends bid notification emails based on your notification preference, which you choose when posting a project.

You can also view notifications on the "Exchange Updates" section on your "Home" page. Your "Home" page is accessible from anywhere on the site by clicking the LimeExchange logo on the top-most left side.

View Bids
To view all the bids received on a project, go to "Projects --> Manage Projects" tab and click the project name displayed in the "Under Bidding" section.

If you have received any bids on the project, you will be taken to the Bids page where all the bids received on your project will be listed.

If you have not received any bids on the project, you will be taken to the Project Details page where all the project details will be mentioned.

Select Provider

On the bids page, each bid shows the rank of the provider, the date when the bid was received, the duration required by the provider to complete the project and the bid amount. Vantage Providers are shown in order of priority with a Vantage Icon against the name of such providers. You can click anywhere on a bid to view the complete bid details.

You can click on the provider's name to view their profile. On the provider's profile page you can view their portfolio and any feedback provided by other LimeExchange buyers.

Compare Bids
Select the bids you want to compare and then click the "Compare" link. You can select and compare 3 bids in one instance. By comparing different bids on a same page, it becomes easy to select a provider and award the project.

Shortlist Bids
You can also shortlist some of the bids that are of your interest by clicking the "Shortlist" link. This way you will be able to narrow down your choice of the providers.

Delete Bids
You can delete any bid which you think is of no use to you. You will still continue to receive updates about the changes made by the provider with respect to a deleted bid. You can also restore the deleted bid.

Junk Bids
You can mark any bid as Junk if you feel that it is a spam and of no use. Once a bid is marked as Junk, LimeExchange will stop informing you of any change or update on such bid. You can also remove the bid from Junk and restore it as a normal bid.

Use Filters to track bids
On the Bids page, there is a 'View Filters' link which can be used to locate bids as per the given parameters. This feature helps when you have a long list of bids and you want to locate some bids on given parameters like Project Amount, Duration and Project Contract Status.

Communicate with Service Providers
After you have received one or more bids, you will see a message board on the project details page. You can use this feature to communicate with providers for any clarification that might be needed before selecting the winning bid, or to negotiate the project terms and bid amount.

Tips
Communicate using the project message board
You should thoroughly review provider profiles and proposals before selecting the winning bid. LimeExchange strongly recommends that you communicate with service providers during the bid selection phase. Use the project message board to negotiate business terms, deliverables, bid amount, timelines and requirements. By starting a dialogue during this phase, you will get an idea of a provider's competency in English and their relevant skill sets.

Request more detailed profile information from the service provider, if needed.

Agree on business terms before selecting the winning bid
You and your service provider should agree on the business terms for a project before awarding it. The business terms should be listed on the message board to avoid miscommunication and misplaced expectations. Clearly communicate your acceptance criteria for any deliverables.
